Etno Caravan

Etno Caravan started as a big tour project in 2014, when around thirty young musicians from thirteen different countries traveled together all the way from Czech Republic to Umeå. The orchestra took over lots of stages and streets, bringing joy and energy to every environment they came to. They learned the music from each other, exchanged tunes and stories from diferent traditions – Ukraine, Sweden, Bulgaria, Canada and many others. Since the big tour, the Caravan keeps meeting again and playing – as right now: they're gonna reunite during the Umefolk festival! Members of Etno Caravan present their small bands as well as perform as a whole ochestra!

Culture on Campus. Etno Caravan will hold a lunchtime concert in the Lärarhuset building at Umeå University on Thursday 19 February at 12 PM.

Etno Caravan is also an important part of the full-evening event to be held at Äpplet on Friday.
