HomeCraft

  • Friday 21:30, Miklagård

Homecraft is the band wanting to sound like the jam on the after-party.

The duo Johanna Karlsson and Emma Härdelin, about to rehearse anyway, became a trio when the folk music writer Johannes Berndalen invited them to play with him at the open editorial office of Hudiksvalls newspaper.

And it was impossible to stop playing.

These three friends with roots in Hälsingland have with common excitement for the fun and joyful in the music, and the delight of playing, just recently formed a trio where the songs without ending is in focus.

Those songs you never want to finish playing or the tune you want to sing forever.

The arrangements are as straight and simple as Emma Härdelins voice, and Johanna Karlssons both beautiful and raw fiddle is the central red wire bringing the music forward through solos and common singing. The feeling of sitting in someones kitchen or living room, a late night with good friends, is strengthened when the musicians switch instruments with each other.

Lovingly and without questions Homecraft plays both the most simple love songs to the most rapid fiddle tunes, firmly accompanied by Johannes Berndalens playful guitarplay.
