Jonsson & Abelli

Elin Jonsson (fiddle) and Sunniva Abelli (key harp and vocals) met and started playing in 2013. Together with the group Rim they have travelled around Norden, deepening folk music traditions. Since then they have also played in the trio Bergström-Jonsson-Abelli, but now for the first time they perform as a duo. Elin is awarded for playing traditional music from Strömsund, Jämtland. Sunniva from Umeå/Stockholm has developed a unique technique using feet, voice and dans while at the same time treating the key harp. The duo will perform meetings between music from Jämtland and Västerbotten - good for dancing, with room for improvisation and very dynamic.
