Lyöstraini

  • Friday 19:30, Studion

Only in the great world of music a constellation as Lyöstraini can become reality: Karin Nakagawa is one of Japans greatest virtuosos at 25-stringed koto (a long, ancient instrument seldom played outside Japan). Lena Willmark, with roots in Älvdalen, has spread Swedish folk music for decades. Anders Jormin is one of our most wanted artists.

In Lyöstraini (tree of light in the language from Älvdalen) the base is classical music of Japan, added to that Lenas texts on the language from Älvdalen, topped with Anders open landscapes of improvisation. The result is powerful music with a slight vibration of history, today and the time yet to come - in the very same shivering breath. Things that only can happen in the wonderful magical world of music.
